Continuing on the theme of colour, here is another photo from the Shilparamam craft village in Hyderabad. On such a bright and sunny day, the amount and variety of colour that was in abundance throughout this place was almost overwhelming.
Firstly an experiment; the above link should connect to a file showing details of our 2hr 20min run/walk this morning. The theme for most of the day seems to have been ‘colour’ – the light has been lovely and contrasting colours were standing out vividly.
It was nice to be able to get out on my bike again for the first time in ages this morning; a traffic-free Sunday morning and a day off co-inciding nicely. Unfortunately, the air has not been at all clear over the last few days and it was a very diffuse sunrise that lit up these bridges as I cycled under them. The yellow paint-job on the nearer bridge is the one thing in the photo that brings any energy and life to an otherwise fairly dull and monotone scene, but for that reason I quite like the image; it’s like the bridge seems to be saying, “damn you, rest of the World, if you want to be dull and boring, go ahead – I feel like being cheery today, so I will be”. OK, maybe I’m losing it a bit with all the study !
