I have to go to work this evening and won’t finish until 3.30 tomorrow morning..ugh! However, life on the boat starts at about 6 a.m. and there’s very little sound proofing, so I had no choice but to be awake at that time this morning. In an effort to prepare myself for an afternoon snooze we set off early to try and find some trails to run on and to wear myself out. As we are acclimatising to the heat and exercising more, we are able to run further afield and this is opening up some much better areas to exercise in. Very local short runs of up to 30 mins restrict you to concrete and traffic; 1 hour or more gets you, briefly, onto this type of terrain around Tai Lam Chung reservoir – no contest! Wear me out it certainly did (we are a long way away from the fitness levels required to run the full 15km around the reservoir) and the afternoon nap came very easily. Poor Mrs daybydaybyphoto now has to cope with Friday evening teenage sleepovers with much less respite.
