I had thought today’s photo would be taken whilst I was out on a cycle ride this morning. The weather was lovely and I was riding on a picturesque route. However, I had taken nearly 40 photos before I even got one with me in it! Lots of photos of empty roads, roads full of cars, half bicycles etc. My problem was in getting my timing right between setting the delay timer on the camera, initiating the shot and then getting myself in the right place for when the shutter went off. Either more practice required, or get a camera with a remote control for the shutter so that I can have the photo take when I get to the right location. Whatever the answer, it’s apparent that, if I want to take pictures whilst I’m out exercising, I need to allow quite a bit extra time to get the same amount of exercise done. The rest of the day has been spent on household tasks; fixing light bulbs and garden gates, repairing Catharine’s broken Physiotherapy plinth, taking out the Xmas tree and, as depicted in today’s photo, repairing the guttering over the garage following the high winds last week. Whilst I did eventually get some cycling photos, evidence of me doing any serious DIY is much harder to come by, so that’s why this photo gets the nod today.
Off to Cardiff tomorrow, returning Caitlin to Uni – will I be able to resist a stereotypical photo?
