On my ‘body clock’ I left my hotel in Chennai at 6pm yesterday, landing a 747 at Frankfurt at 6am this morning (not a lot of sleep in the interim!) It took another 9 hours before I was home – 1 flight, 1 coach ride, 1 car ride, a lot of hanging around and snatched bits of sleep where I could – this is the not-so-glamorous lifestyle of an airline pilot! 2 hours of sleep on a mattress on the floor (we’re in the process of moving) was followed by a welcome meal at my parents house. Before finally collapsing for a full night’s sleep I took this shot at Christchurch Priory, much to the disconsternation of my daughter who didn’t like being in a graveyard in the dark. I now have 3 weeks of leave to complete all preparations for the move to Hong Kong and keeping this daily blog and photograph going will become even more of a challenge
